Review of Our Jellyfish Site Tour by Barefoot Bride: Mikaela Rivera
When planning a destination wedding, choosing the perfect venue is one of the most important decisions you'll make. For us, the search ended at the stunning Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Our site tour at Jellyfish was nothing short of amazing, and it confirmed that this was the right place for our special day.
Before we arrived, I reached out to Farah, the wedding planner at Jellyfish, via email to schedule a date and time for our tour. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were warmly greeted by Farah and the friendly staff, setting the tone for a truly welcoming experience. Farah guided us through the entire venue, showing us where the ceremony would take place, the bar area, the restaurant space, the bathrooms, and even the bridal suite. Seeing the setup in person gave us a clear vision of how our wedding day would unfold, and we couldn’t have been more excited.
After the tour, we sat down with Farah to discuss the wedding package details. She took the time to answer all of our questions, which made me feel confident and at ease about planning a wedding so far from home. In a thoughtful gesture, the bartender made us complimentary drinks of our choice while we chatted – a small touch that truly showcased their hospitality. Not to mention, they were delicious! Farah explained the flexibility Jellyfish offers when it comes to wedding packages, including various upgrades and substitutions to personalize the experience. We found their pricing to be extremely fair, especially considering everything that was included.
The wedding package at Jellyfish Restaurant covers a wide range of essentials, ensuring a seamless and memorable event. The package includes the private use of the first floor of the restaurant and the beach area for the ceremony, a beautiful gazebo, tables with linens and napkins, medium-sized centerpieces, restaurant wicker chairs, the bride’s bouquet, the groom’s boutonniere, a DJ for six hours, an MC for four hours, a white wooden dance floor, day-of coordination, a wedding cake or dessert table, and guest transportation to and from the venue. It’s a comprehensive offering that takes the stress out of planning, and the team provides plenty of upgrade options to make the day even more personalized.
We even stayed for lunch after the tour, and the food was phenomenal – a crucial factor when choosing a wedding venue! The service was impeccable, and we could easily envision our guests enjoying the warm, relaxed atmosphere on our big day. We actually had another site tour scheduled with a different venue afterward, but we were so impressed with Jellyfish that we decided to cancel the other tour and lock in our date with them right away.
Now, with less than two months to go before the wedding, I will say that communication with Farah and the decorator has been a bit slow. However, this seems to be a common experience, as the team prioritizes the weddings that are closest on their calendar. While this could be stressful, I’m not too worried – I’ve heard countless of glowing reviews from other couples who said the communication picked up in the final weeks, and that the Jellyfish team always delivered stunning, seamless weddings.
Farah has already reached out to schedule our tasting and final walkthrough for the week of our wedding, and they even offered transportation to and from our hotel for this visit. These thoughtful details reinforce our confidence in their professionalism and dedication to creating unforgettable weddings.
If you’re considering a destination wedding in Punta Cana, I cannot recommend Jellyfish Restaurant enough. The beautiful venue, exceptional service, and customizable packages make it a dream location for couples seeking a unique and memorable experience. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day at Jellyfish, knowing that we’re in great hands with
