An Unforgettable Party Boat

SAY GOODBYE TO A WEEK LONG CELEBRATION IN THE CARIBBEAN WITH AN UNFORGETTABLE PARTY BOAT EXCURSION

One of the many reasons we love Destination Weddings is because of the week-long celebration that it brings each couple. From the welcome party, to the pool party, to the actual wedding, to the post wedding excursions, it truly goes down as the best week of your life that you wish you could relive over and over again.

And while we all know that the actual wedding day will always be #1 in our hearts, let’s talk about what comes to a close 2nd.. To my guests and me at least.

To give some context, I was married in the beautiful Carribean, Cap Cana, Dominican Republic to be exact. My guests and I stayed at a resort on Bavaro Beach, Punta Cana.

While the wedding day was an absolute dream and so much fun, the party boat excursion that we booked with our guests two days after the wedding comes at a close 2nd.

We wanted to give our guests an experience of a lifetime, from the minute they landed to the minute they were off to the airport to travel home. As our group loves to party, what better way to send everyone home than with a daytime party to close off the most amazing week?

We were picked up at the lobby of our hotel around 11:30a and taken to a different part of the beach where the boat was docked. We opted for the open bar with some light snacks and it was perfect for the 3 hour party. The drinks were strong, the DJ had everyone dancing, and the views were incredible.

Onboard we enjoyed snorkeling, dancing, and a stop at a natural pool where other boats were docked and it felt like a big party in the middle of the ocean.

A few tips for this excursion…

  1. Because it’s a half day, I suggest that you opt to be picked up around 11a so that your guests can enjoy breakfast prior to the day drinking and then you’re back in time for a nap and dinner.

  2. We had kids ages 4-9 onboard but anything younger than that we don’t recommend.

  3. Bring cash for tips for everyone who made this an unforgettable excursion onboard.

CONCLUSION

It’s truly one of those “you had to be there” experiences. It almost felt like you were reliving the wedding day out in the ocean without all of the fluff, just party. Our guests rave about the party boat ‘til this day, and we wish we could recreate the experience back home. Looks like we’ll have to all go back for a vow renewal. ;-)
